Grindelwald Elopement
Located 30 minutes from Interlaken, Grindelwald is a picture-postcard village nestled between mountains. Perched at 1000 meters above sea level and surrounded by majestic peaks, it’s a place where nature’s grandeur invites you to slow down. The perfect spot to celebrate love, far from the hustle and bustle, and say “I do” in simplicity and serenity.
It was against this magical backdrop that I had the privilege of capturing the love story of Monique and Cory, who came all the way from the United States to experience an unforgettable elopement. That day, everything felt just right: the snow-covered peaks, the crisp air painting their cheeks pink, and most of all, their radiant joy that seemed to light up the landscape. They told me afterward that the moment exceeded everything they had imagined.
The Mountains as witnesses
After taking the gondola up to Bort, an intermediate station before Grindelwald First, we ventured out despite the freezing temperatures. Monique and Cory didn’t seem to notice the cold, too wrapped up in their happiness and the magic of the moment. It was the last stop on their weeklong journey through Switzerland, a perfect way to end their trip before heading back to California.
Once we arrived, we walked just a few minutes to reach an incredible viewpoint overlooking the Eiger. It was here that they shared their first look, a deeply emotional moment, before exchanging their vows. Just the two of them, standing before the vastness of the mountains. Nothing else mattered.

The world felt still, with only the three of us there to witness the magic of the moment.
